The idea

Jon Yongfook presents field mapping in Bannerbear: a template and an external data source use different names for equivalent fields, and Jev suggests how to connect them.

Inside the decision loop

01 / CONTEXT

Template fields + source schema

02 / DECISION

Match fields by meaning

03 / ACTION

Apply the proposed mapping

What to take from it

This is a useful example of bounded semantic matching. Show the proposed map before applying it, then validate data types and require unique assignments where the template expects them.

KEEP IN MIND

A plausible name match can still be wrong. Similar fields such as a profile image and a company logo need richer descriptions or a human confirmation step.
